I can send anyone the photoHow do I find out what type of rock inlay is in my house? I have a photo?
You might print the photo out on a full page of paper, and take it around to the local building supply stores, or those who provide rock, brick, etc to builders.
Feel free to send me a photo, and I'll take a guess at it. Any details about the home would be helpful too, like when was it built, when was the inlay installed, etc... if you know that information.
Keep in mind, the 'rock' could be genuine, or fake. There is quite a variety of 'faux' rock facing available on the market. This may be hard to tell from just a photo. I've had the opportunity to repair some inlay in homes that appeared to be sandstone and mortar on a fireplace surround - it was actually a cement panel, hehehe.
Good Luck
