Was School House Rock an effective educational tool?

Do you think that it should be brought back for the next generation? Was School House Rock an effective educational tool?
In my experience it was effective. This generation related, the next one ';don't know yet';.Was School House Rock an effective educational tool?
Absolutely! These songs really taught ALOT of kids in the 70's about numbers, history, and grammar. One of my all time faves was/is ';My Hero, Zero';.
It helped me learn the preamble to the Constitution in 8th grade...and I still remember it (It's my 3rd year of college) I would say yes!
Kids can remember songs they hear on the radio, but they can't remember their spelling words for the test on Friday. Stick it in a song, and they've got it. I think it would be killer if brought back. It's way better than some of the multiplication songs I've heard as midi files on the Internet. I would totally use SHR if they made more songs that fit with the curriculum. At my school, the music teacher uses SHR on days where she's absent.
Yes. When my niece asked me for homework help on how bills become law - I just went through ';I'm Just a Bill';. My other favorites are: Conjunction Junction and The Shot Heard Round the World.
I use school house rock everyone once in awhile if I need a little filler. I don't rely on it though
Hey! ( Intrajection-for excitement or emotion ) My son just watched School House Rock for the first time today and (conjunction junction) seemed to really take to it. He watched it very eagerly ( Lolly,Lolly, get your adverbs here!) and he's only three.( That's the magic number!)

So in short : Yes I really think it can, kids love music-I believe it helps make learning aspects that can be dull if just handed over in some overbearing tome easier-dare I say, fun. The interjections song has stayed with me [ I witnessed the original many moons ago] for no less than 25 years! (%26lt;---- see there it is again!]
';Splishin and a splashin, rockin and a rollin, over the horizon what can it be?

Looks like its going to be a free country';...or how about ';I'm just a bill Yes, I'm just a bill and I'm sittin here on Capitol Hill...'; YES! Schoolhouse Rock was awesome! I watched it as a kid more than 30 years ago EVERY Saturday morning and I STILL remember bits and pieces! I think putting information to music is always a winner!
