Repairing major plaster cracks on a rock house (No wood behind the plaster)?
I have a 100+ year old rock home with plaster throughout. There was some foundation problems which caused major cracks in the plaster. I am hoping to fix this myself, but every website I look at talk about the wood behind the plaster. Being that the house is made from stone the only thing behind the plaster is rock so there is no screwing into the wall or anything of that sort.

the only reason the wood (lath) was there is that they needed something to put the plaster on,as the wall was just an empty void. And the spaces between them made a way for the plaste to grip. How was he plaster originally put on the wall ? Just directly to the stone ? if so ,,look at the second link and find the thred about plaster over concrete block, lots of info there.
Or you may want to attach a metal plaster lath to the wall, i think this would be my choice.

Well I recently adopted a little rock, and it started complaining. This is how we got on:

Take a decent sized box (shoe box would work) and cut a door in it somewhere on the side of the box.
Then, if your rock wants, you can add windows. Just cut small shapes in the sides of the box.
You can add anything you want to really, you can add curtains to make it more homey or draw\print out pictures to put on the wall for decoration.
For Furniture-
Bed- Toe of a sock, or you can put a piece of felt on the floor of the house for a mattress, take a piece of cloth for blanket, and a cotton ball for a pillow.

I can't tell you specifically about this venue, but I live around Chicago, and have been to the Tweeter Center/Midwest Ampitheater (i think it's renamed) in Tinley Park, and have felt safe coming, going, and within the venue. The way I see it, you're only as safe as you make yourself. So we have to have a foundation on God's Word, and do what it says.
Mat 7:24 ';Everyone, then, who is hearing these sayings of Mine and is doing them shall be likened to a prudent man who builds his house on the rock.
(What is the rock? His sayings/ the Word of God. What is meant by building on the rock? Putting the Word of God into action.)

But if we are foolish and build our foundation on something weak (such as money, a person,etc.) then we will not be able to stand up through the storms and trials.

Yes, it is a metaphor. It means to put your faith and life in Gods hands and not mans because God won't ever forsake you and man will. Give your life to Him and you're investing your soul into something certain and permanent. Man, earth, flesh, etc is not.

Any vine that can grow up something that is solid (like a wall or a rock) can harm foundation or siding. That's because that type of vine has little suction cup-like things on them that they use to hold onto the rock. Those can rot wood and made pits in rock.

Clinging vines can attach so firmly to walls that getting them off without damaging the structure is very hard. Sometimes the attaching parts of the plant can work their way into cracks and crevices.
Climbing lilies work well and look nice. If you can add a trellis (for support) a nice bougainvillea would look great.

It all depends on the quality of the headphones and the quality of the sound system in your car, if you have one. In my opinion, nothing beats a high quality set of headphones when listening to metal or rock music. They truly allow you to hear ALL of the fine details that you normally would not hear with a cheap set of headphones or a factory sound system in a car. Besides, I always felt that those fine details get drowned out in the car anyway, especially if you roll the windows down. I have a set of Sennheiser brand headphones that have 75% noise isolation and are made for use in studio recording environments. Let me tell you, those headphones make the music I listen to sound like a live concert. AND it drowns out my co-workers so I don't have to hear their constant complaining and gossiping all of the time and pretty much ignore them.

if you can imagine being put in a room that is 2Mx2M %26amp; BLARING music that is basically what your doing to your ear by putting an earphone in. hence why when you take it out you feel almost like things are TOO quiet %26amp; you might get ear rings (tinnitus)
however playing s*it loudly in an open space allows for a highervolume but with the sound being easier absorbed by the room.
just watch you don't damage your ears anything over around 70db can damage your ear if you are exposed to it for too long. hence why most bands have some ear problems (especially back in the 70s etc)
