What passage in the Bible talks about building a strong house on rock so that it holds for a long time?

I'm writing an essay, and I would like to make parallel to Jesus' words about building a weak house (faith) on sand and building a strong house on rock. I know for sure that it is somewhere in the Gospels.





If anybody could quote me chapter and verse, it would be greatly appreciated. I never seem to remember any numbers except for John 3:16 lol.

Mat 7:24 ';Anyone who listens to my teaching and obeys me is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock.


Mat 7:25 Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won't collapse, because it is built on rock.


Luk 6:48 It is like a person who builds a house on a strong foundation laid upon the underlying rock. When the floodwaters rise and break against the house, it stands firm because it is well built.
It is part of the Sermon on the Mount. It is found in the gospel according to Matthew, starting in the 5th chapter. You'll find it at the very end of the Sermon on the Mount, so look at the last few paragraphs of each chapter. I believe it might be at the end of chapter 7.
